Paws For Purple Hearts
Thank you to member David Clements for introducing us to Paws For Purple Hearts!
Paws for Purple Hearts is an organization that trains assistance dog veterans suffering from PTSD, combat-related physical, psychological and neuro-muscular disabilities. Service dogs execute over 100 different commands and assist veterans with the activities of daily living like: Tugging to open doors, retrieving dropped items, turning on and off lights, pulling wheelchairs, managing crowds and regulating emotional state.

Brenden's Friday Backpacks
Thank you to Leah Villmer for championing this local charity!
Hunger can affect anyone and hundreds of children in our area suffer every day. These children don't look forward to the weekends and long school breaks because often they know that they may not have enough to eat until they get back to school. Brenden's Friday Backpacks began in 2011 with 4 children in a single school and has grown to a program that currently feeds over 1200 children in 54 schools throughout Jefferson County on a weekly basis.

Open Door Animal Sanctuary
This is our second year donating to the Open Door Animals Sanctuary see under tab "More" for more information about their facility.
Open Door Animal Sanctuary, founded in 1975, is the largest no-kill sanctuary in the greater St. Louis area and State of Missouri. Open Door’s Mission is to provide homeless cats and dogs with the highest quality of life and a second chance to find a forever family.
We serve the community by taking in stray, abused, neglected and otherwise unwanted cats and dogs and placing them up for adoption. Each day we provide shelter, food, medical care and LOVE to over 400 animals.
Every animal that comes to us has a home and a second chance at life. If you are looking to adopt a dog or cat, we have the most animals to choose from in the area!
