The Jefferson Count Photography Club of High Ridge Missouri was formed in 2009 in order to bring those who appreciate photography from the beginners to the advanced together for learning and laughter. Fun and friendship is certain to be had within each meeting, each photo op and within each endeavor we explore. Those who love photography have a passion and curiosity for life. They are not content to let even the smallest; most mundane things that occur in the world go unnoticed. Most photographers are excited at the mere thought of discovering the unknown, as well as getting up close and personal with every aspect of the world.

Each member has joined the club with the sole intention of communicating with others who enjoy the excitement of growing their artistic qualities, sharing the good and the bad shots, while knowing they will always receive continuing support, friendship and education in the field of photography. All the members of the JCPC have grown into award winning team that is generous to the end and reveals in welcoming all to our club.
The meetings are divided into segments, from the general business of the month, to the education portion, which might include guest speakers from time to time, then a slide show of photos from the previous month’s challenges and assignment rounds the evening out.
In addition to providing education and assistance to our members, JCPC believes in giving back to our community. We have supported the High Ridge Elks, Dogs That Help, and Open Door Animal Sanctuary with monetary contributions and by promoting them, their causes, and their fundraising events. We also support local events, festivals, and businesses by visiting and purchasing from them during club field trips and photo opportunities.
Our premier event is a photographic competition every fall that is open to the public. This is our main fund raiser for the club that enables us to conduct business and give to local charities. The members also compete outside competitions locally and internationally. Competition entries of any kind are not mandatory.
